Super Neptunia RPG will be the first game in the series to be developed by a company outside Japan – Artisan Studios, Canada and is also the first Neptunia game to be published for the Nintendo Switch.

Game takes place in a 2D version of Gamindustri where technology such as 3D is banned. Neptune and the rest of the goddesses awaken in this 2D world without any of their previous memories except their names.

Neptune gathers the goddesses and goes on a journey to see if there’s more to their two-dimensional lives. What follows is a self-aware tale of ribbing on gaming culture and the debate between 2D and 3D games.
